Everyone’s favorite late-’90s girl group is getting back together to step on the world’s biggest stage! The Spice Girls will reunite and perform as part of the Olympics closing ceremony in London, joining Jessie J, George Michael and The Who as live performers.
A source has confirmed to Us Weekly that the group will perform two songs, one of which will definitely be the 1996 smash hit “Wannabe.” This will be their first live performance together since 2008 when they first reunited after breaking up in 2001.
“I loved what the Spice Girls did for women’s confidence,” producer Judy Craymer said during a press conference for the show. “There’s something very empowering about them.”
Are you excited for the return of Girl Power with the Spice Girls at the Olympics!?
