If you’re driving through Waltham on Thursday, you’ll need a different route than Main St. The nearby Wilson’s Diner will be the set of Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin’s new movie Labor Day, which shoots Thursday morning and afternoon.
The Inside Track reports that traffic is expected to be slowed between 9AM and 3PM to accommodate the shoot. So if you just want to get a glimpse of Winslet and Brolin as they film the movie, just bring your camera down to Wilson’s! But drivers should expect detours.
Labor Day also stars Tobey Maguire and James Van Der Beek and is directed by Jason Reitman (Juno, Up in the Air), and is expected out in 2013. It also films on location in Boston, Mansfield, Belchertown, Sutton, Shelburne Falls, Acton, Natick, Medway, and Medfield, according to IMDb.
In other movie news, Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy continue to shoot The Heat in Boston and Cambridge.
UPDATE: Filming has been delayed to Friday, August 10, according to Waltham Patch.
