Apple made a decent amount of money Friday. Stores all over the country finally opened their doors for the first time with the new iPhone 5 in tow, and as expected there were plenty of Apple fanatics camping out well prior to the store’s opening. Greater Boston was no exception.
The huge Apple store on Boylston St. was an obvious hot spot for iPhone 5 buyers. The line began with campers marking their territories as early as 8:37 in the morning…On Thursday.
hey #boston news crews: there are already some crazies lined up in front of the apple store on boylston for the #iphone5. you're welcome.

Meggie Quack (@meggiequack) September 20, 2012The line even inspired this guy, who apparently makes his own apps…Although we question how fun or useful a line app would be!
This afternoon I'll be heading to the Apple Boylston store to wait in line for the iPhone 5 and make an app about waiting in lines.

Ben Johnson (@scoober) September 20, 2012And you wouldn’t be camping outside a store if you didn’t bring a sleeping bag!

Kevin Leahy (@KvnLhy) September 21, 2012Good thing all the outdoor sleepers survived…

Doug Stewart (@stewartdoug) September 21, 2012The lines weren’t only ridiculous on Boylston St. Apple also had a circus at their locations in Natick…
