The weather may be bitterly cold right now, but that’s no reason to just stay in every night. There’s still plenty of great live music rolling through Boston this time of year.

Sure, the Comcast Center and Bank of America Pavilion are closed right now, but it doesn’t need to be summer concert season for these 10 artists to bring their live shows to the masses. We all know about Lady Gaga, Rihanna and the like, but there’s also some great lesser known artists to check out.

Here’s 10 great shows coming through Boston in February to April that will help you kick off your 2013 concert season.

For those unfamiliar, Big Gigantic is an electronic musical duo from Boulder, CO. They are known for their high-energy live performances and unique musical style, comparable to other EDM artists like Skrillex and Deadmau5. Try on their song “The World Is Yours” for size. You like? Animal Collective aren’t exactly a household name, but the indie pop group have two highly regarded singles in “My Girls” and “Summertime Clothes” that you may know or love already. They are well-known for energetic live shows and their March 7 concert at the House of Blues should be more of the same – get tickets at Live Nation.

Tickets are still available for Rihanna’s “Diamonds” World Tour at Ticketmaster. We doubt they will last much longer! The show hits the TD Garden on March 10 with opening act A$AP Rocky.

Another show you’ll want to act on quickly if you want to score a ticket – they’re still available at Ticketmaster but not for much longer. P!nk and special guest The Hives hit the TD Garden on March 28.

Alicia Keys brings her “Set The World On Fire” Tour to the Agganis Arena at BU on April 10. Tickets go on sale via Ticketmaster starting Feb. 1, but we imagine they won’t last very long!

Muse became worldwide superstars with the hit single “Uprising,” and they’ve done it again with another strong album in The 2nd Law. Matt Bellamy & Co. are known for their energetic live shows, and their TD Garden concert on April 12 should be no exception. Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster.

Do you have tickets to any of these shows? What concerts are you looking forward to for the next few months? Share your shows in the comments.
