It’s no secret that social media has given a powerful voice to millions of people, yet sometimes those voices can be negative and ill-placed, says Australian rapper Iggy Azalea in an interview with 103.3 AMP Radio.
While she loves to check Twitter after she’s released a new song to the public, she avoids the social network on a regular basis because it can “sometimes just ruin your day.”
Case in point, she addressed these so-called “haters” via a Tweet back at the beginning of the month.
Just remember while your all at home online cracking jokes about artists etc that Most of you have done NOTHING. NOTHING! With your lives.—

TJ Taormina, host of AMP Radio’s morning show, The TJ Show, asked Azalea why she would even give her haters that sort of attention.
“I just think it’s funny that sometimes we can take on the character of maybe the people that we idolize and sometimes we forget that those achievements aren’t actually your achievements,” Iggy Azalea told TJ backstage at AMP Birthday Bash.
“I find it really ironic when I see 12-year-olds tweet me and be like ‘You suck, we have a number one!'” Iggy continued. “You don’t have a number one. Your favorite artist does! But you’re 12, writing this from your mom’s computer and you should remember that, because it takes a lot of work to do anything!”
Iggy went on to say that as kids grow older, they’ll learn much like the rest of us have, that success takes hard work. She hopes that they’ll appreciate how much work really goes into it.
