AMP Radio would like to congratulate our very own Joe Bermudez on his first number 1 single on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart. His song ‘Sunrise”, which features South African singer Louise Carver, just made history by bumping Rihanna’s “Needed Me” out of the coveted top position.
“My first No. 1 record is kind of like my first kiss,” Bermudez beamed to Billboard. “I never thought it was going to happen and when it did it I was overwhelmed with an excitement I’ve never felt before. So much so, that it’s hard to even put into words. It’s something that I’ll never forget, though.”
“When I heard that Joe and I are No. 1 on the Billboard chart this week, I literally screamed in shock,” Carver chimed in. “It doesn’t feel real to knock Rihanna off the number one position. I am trying to just enjoy the moment and appreciate this really incredible gift!”
Congratulations to Joe and Louise!
