G-Eazy brags a big game in his newest video “Calm Down,” released today (August 23).
Shot in G-Eazy’s hometown of Oakland, as well as San Francisco and Berkley, the video highlights all the places that shaped the rapper and helped him rise to fame, like the Haight-Ashbury district, Fruitvale Station and more. The video is processed in black and white to give it an extra chill vibe.
Along with aerial shots of the cities and close-up of street signs, the video shows G-Eazy hanging with his crew at a house party, or performing wheelies on the street. But there’s one thing he wants everyone to know. “I’m the coldest white rapper in the game since the one with the bleached hair,” he raps, referencing Eminem.
“Calm Down” also features appearances from E-40, Too $hort, Nef The Pharaoah, Jay Ant, P Lo and Kool John.
G-Eazy will next take the stage with Britney Spears to perform their single “Make Me…” at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 28.
