This week’s Badass Chick is 8-year-old Victoria Mckelvie of Northbridge, a little lady who spends much of her free time donating to Why Me & Sherry’s House, which helps families of children undergoing cancer treatment.
For years, Victoria has spent her time collecting donations for the families, like school supplies, Halloween candy and party supplies. She’s even distributed personal notes of love and encouragement for the families, as well as sold Girl Scout cookies which were then donated to the families as well.
This weekend, Victoria will be manning a lemonade and baked goods stand at the Douglas, Ma Farmer’s Market. She’s also painted “kindness rocks” in hops of receiving donations that she can then pass along to Why Me, so be sure to stop by if you’re in the area.
I love that Victoria has figured out how important it is to help others at such a young age, and for that, she is my Badass Chick of the Week!
