Hey Zayn, you can’t text message breakup!
Little Mix‘s Perrie Edwards is on a roll this week. First, the girl group debuted their Zayn-inspired single (just read the lyrics) “Shout Out to My Ex” on The X Factor, and in a few days they will release their juicy new book called Our World, which reportedly also takes some digs at Perrie’s ex.
Let’s watch Little Mix’s debut performance of “Shout Out to My Ex,” and dissect the lyrics, shall we?
“I hope she gettin’ better sex / Hope she ain’t fakin’ it like I did, babe,” the ladies sing. “Took four long years to call it quits / Forget that boy, I’m over it.” Sounds like Zayn to us!
Now pages from Our World are leaking, and according to Teen Vogue, Perrie says the following about her ex in the book. “It was horrible, the worst time in my life,” she writes about their breakup. “A four-year relationship, two year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that. Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me.”
Zayn’s autobiography comes out on November 1st. Think he’ll address their relationship, which he insists didn’t end over text?
