The ’80s Remakes Of These Pop Songs Are Almost Better Than The Originals

By: Eric Donnelly

The ’80s haven’t been so cool since Bowling For Soup talked about Bruce Springsteen and Madonna, way before Nirvana.

YouTube user TRONICBOX decided to give some recent, iconic pop songs an interesting twist — they re-imagined the songs as if they were created in the decade of big hair, specifically 1985!

The songs are honestly wicked awesome. From Ariana Grande to Justin Bieber to Fifth Harmony (RIP Camilla), the songs sound completely different than the originals. Plus, some are almost better than their original versions…

Check them out below:

Ariana Grande — “Focus On 1985”

Justin Bieber — “What Do You Mean It’s 1985?”

Fifth Harmony — “Sledgehamme (80s)”

Rihanna ft. Calvin Harris — “This Is What You Came For” (Created by YouTube user Saint-Laurent)

Ariana Grande — “Into You” (my favorite)

Katy Perry — “Firework”
