Little Mix Only Had 2 Days To Rehearse “Ex” For Brit Awards, “No One Understands The Stress We Went Through”

By: Extra Eric

You never would’ve guessed it, but Little Mix only had two days to prepare their jaw-dropping opening number of “Shout Out To My Ex” for the 2017 Brit Awards.

I caught up with Jesy, Jade, Leigh-Anne, and Perrie before they hit the stage tonight at the TD Garden for the Dangerous Woman Tour. Jesy even said it herself, “I’m actually a fan girl of our own performance — I can’t stop watching it!”

She went on to reveal that they only had two days to rehearse. “It was while being on this tour, traveling back to London, it was just horrendous and no one understands the stress that we went through before that. Everyone thinks we just went on stage and did this amazing performance, but no one knew what went down.”

Perrie elaborated on why it went wrong. “Our first rehearsal we got there and the music wasn’t right…it was all wrong. Do we just choreograph something to nothing and then hope it fits or what?” Jesy added that “the rehearsals that we were meant to have didn’t happen because we didn’t have the music, so we were literally just making up our own song.”

By watching the performance, you never would’ve guessed that anything went wrong prior because it was literally flawless — even if they were “crapping themselves” backstage beforehand. It’s nice to see they love it just as much as we all do. Little Mix agrees that Jade did look just like Beyonce with the long blonde hair.

Check out the full-interview above to hear what the girls have to say about the remix and acoustic version of “Touch,” “Beep Beep,” Salute, and how they pick singles off of an album (Glory Days) that’s perfection.
